Injustice Against Päivi Räsänen Is Injustice Against All Christians:
Leaders like Päivi Räsänen shine as stars of Jesus, bringing truth into a darkened world. The injustice against her does not affect her alone; it affects Christians everywhere. Likewise, the persecution of Christians in many Islamic countries should concern the entire body of Christ, for believers are one family united in Him.
If Christians ignore this suffering and refuse to stand together, they risk greater loss. Similar persecution could also rise in the Western world. Her case has sparked a deep and emotional debate in Finland and beyond. People now debate how to balance freedom of expression, religious conviction, and modern hate speech laws.
A Defining Moment for Christians
From a Christian perspective, this situation goes beyond a legal ruling. It marks a defining moment in which authorities treat the expression of biblical teachings, especially on marriage and sexual ethics, as punishable. For those who hold the Holy Bible as divine authority, this raises a serious and painful concern. When people label the quoting or defense of Scripture as “hate speech,” it does more than create legal consequences, it constitutes an injustice and sparks a spiritual and moral crisis.
Freedom Under Threat in the West
Freedom of speech is now being openly snatched from Western Christians. The United Nations, the European Union, and even many Western Christians remained silent while persecutors burned Christian homes and churches in Islamic countries. The world ignored these injustices and crushed the human rights of Christians under the feet of their oppressors. Today, that same cruelty and injustice empower anti-Christian groups in the West, who aim to silence Biblical Christian beliefs.
A Call to the Global Christian Community
I address the global community: history has proven that centuries of persecution have never extinguished Christianity—and they never will.
Christians have helped shape foundational values such as human dignity, freedom of expression, and human rights. These principles continue to guide peaceful coexistence across societies.
Yet humility should never be mistaken for weakness. While Christians remain committed to peace, they also bear the responsibility to stand firm in their beliefs.
At this critical moment, I call on the global Christian community to unite and stand together against injustice, persecution, and the erosion of fundamental freedoms.
This call is not for division, but for unity.
Not for conflict, but for the protection of truth, dignity, and freedom for all.I believe all Bible-believing Christians around the world, including in Finland, should post:
“Male and Female He Created Them. – Romans 1:24–27”
#ReligiousFreedom #FreeSpeechMatters #MaleAndFemaleHeCreatedThem #JusticeForPäiviWill the courts try to convict billions of Christians around the world? This should be a message of solidarity with Päivi Räsänen and a declaration that Christianity cannot be stopped, and that freedom of speech and religious freedom cannot be taken from Christians.
The Battle Over Scripture and Truth
The problem began when people started to see Bible verses themselves as offensive. Christians in Finland, and across the West, are called to honor the Holy Bible and to stand firm in their faith. If courts in societies historically shaped by Christianity now label biblical beliefs as hateful, it shows how much ground has already been lost.
When a court declares that the Bible’s teaching, that marriage is between a man and a woman is offensive to the LGBT community, there must also be recognition that opposing views can be equally offensive to billions of christian believers. This includes 2.5 billion Christians, 1.8 billion Muslims, and millions of Jews. Yet, we rarely call for punishment when others speak against our beliefs. Why, then, is there not equal space for Christians to express theirs?
This raises a fundamental question of justice:
If one group claims the right to live and speak according to its beliefs or ideology, should that same right not be protected for Christians?
A Global Shift and the Silence of the West
This is not just about Finland; it reflects a deeper global shift. Societies are redefining the line between freedom of expression and protection from offense. But when that line begins to silence faith, it is no longer balance, it becomes suppression.
At the same time, another painful reality cannot be ignored. Christians in many parts of the world, especially in Islamic countries, have long lived under pressure, discrimination, persecution and fear. Churches and christian homes have been burned, communities attacked, christian girls are raped, and voices silenced. Many endure pain they cannot express and suffering they cannot publicly name. Some believers feel they cannot even cry out for justice. Yet, while this suffering has persisted for years, much of the Western Christian world has remained silent.
Emerging Pressures in the West
Now, a different kind of pressure is rising in Europe and other Western nations—not always through violence, but through legal, cultural, and institutional forces. The threat is no longer only physical persecution; it is the gradual loss of voice, influence, and the right to openly live according to biblical truth.
This is why the case of Päivi Räsänen has become symbolic. It serves as a warning sign for Christians everywhere.
If Christians in Europe, within the European Union, and in United Nations member states remain silent, the consequences will only deepen. Freedom of speech, freedom of belief, and religious liberty are not lost in a single moment—they are eroded gradually through silence and compromise.
A Call to Courage and Unity
Today, Christians number in the billions worldwide. But voiceless.
The early followers of Christ were few, yet they stood boldly before empires and changed the governing system. Today, the question is not about numbers, it is about courage, unity, and conviction.
This is not a call to hatred.
This is not a call to division.
It is a call to justice.
A call for equal rights, so all people can speak, believe, and live according to their conscience without fear of punishment.
A call for global institutions, including the United Nations and European bodies, to protect religious freedom, not selectively, but universally.
And above all, it is a call for Christians everywhere:
- To awaken.
- To speak with wisdom and courage.
- To stand, not in violence like in islamic countries, but in truth.
If faith can no longer be spoken, freedom itself is at risk. This is a message to all believers who live silently, neglecting the work of God’s Kingdom and failing to raise their voice for their rights and for their persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ.
